The Simple Life is a dumb reality television series. However in Vietnam, it is the sweet, simple things of life which are the real ones after all. Paddy fields, no alarm clock at all, wild bunch of coconuts, proudly to announce i survived!
Vinh Long
Roaming through the jungle of "oohs" and "ahs," watch the river slipping slowly away beneath me; I felt peaceful. They call me 'The Anti-Pork Princess,' they don't know how much I enjoy it.
Ho Chi Minh City
Suffering from heavy traffic. A continual atmosphere of hectic passion - Lost. We have a problem in making our way as English is not widely spoken.
I am a lucky girl. This trip had made me realized that knowing how things work is the basis for appreciation, and is thus a source of happiness.

Thailand: Songkla City and Hat Yai
4 and 5 September 2010
People have asked me what is the difference between Chinese food and Thai food. I tell them Chinese foods are more traditional like stir fry, but a lot of the Thai foods are hotter and spicier, cooked with curry. I was wrong. Thai Food can be explain by two words : HOT and SOUR.
The day started at 5.30am (Malaysian Time) with a shock at the Thai Immigration counter. The queue was sickening and yet we managed to get through it within 20 minutes. Reached Hat Yai City at 9.00 am (Thailand Time).
Songkla City - Sitting on a beach? Nope! We are standing under the rain!
Klonghae Floating Market - This very interesting attraction.
Hatyai nightlife features colorful and lively entertainment! I am loving it!
Expenses: min RM105

Thailand: Phuket, Phi Phi Island and Phang Nga Bay
27 June 2010 - 30 June 2010
Phuket is an island in the south of Thailand.
Day 1: Phuket Town
Greeted by Thao Thep Krasatri and Thao Sri Soonthorn, the two heroines of Phuket. Proceed to Wat Chalong, the largest of Phuket's temples. Sleepy. Checked-in Deevana Patong Resort & Spa, Patong. Much looking forward to Fantasea; the theme park with cultural shows in Kamala Beach. Impressive acrobatics show.
Day 2: Phi Phi Island
Seasick day. Departure from Phuket Pier. Duh! Arrive at Phi Phi Don Pier. Nothing much and the weather was so bad. End up fallen asleep in the Sea Angel Cruise. Lunch at Phi Phi Don and relax on beach. Huh! Relax? I felt stress up with the rains. Done nothing much. Definitely not recommended.
Day 3: Phang Nga Bay (James Bond Island)
Stop at the popular Monkey Caves (Wat Suwankuha) to see the large reclining golden Buddha inside the caves and the large flocks of monkeys outside. Scary. Proceed to travel by long tail boat for lunch at Koh Pannyi, a floating Muslim fishing village. Loves the fried chicken despite having tummy upset. Ko Tapu rock formation comes into view after 15 minutes ride in the long-tail boat. Night shopping in Jungceylon. Loved today!
Day 4: Phuket Town
Visited the world's biggest Gems Jewelry Store. Stranded in Phuket Airport for 6 hours. Phew! Home Sweet Home.
Total expenses: min RM1235.90
