Malaysia: Kuching, Sarawak

22 - 25 April 2011

* Meow * Kuching, Sarawak. Right now I'm having amnesia and deja vu at the same time. Local Favorites; Mee Kolo: Above Satisfactory, Bihun Belacan: Nightmare, Sarawak Laksa: Good.

Day 1: Kuching City Tour:
Colourful shop-houses and trendy urban architecture. Tua Pek Kong temple, Astana, Sarawak River, Cat Museum, and proudly the one and only Chinese Museum. Jalan Carpenter a must go for shopaholic.

Day 2: Semenggoh Orang Utan Rehabilitation, Sarawak Cultural Village Tour & Annah Rais Longhouse:
We visited the Annah Rais Longhouse village, home to the Bidayuh that practice a traditional lifestyle. A simple life highly valued cultural heritage. The ‘Living Museum’ represented here through the Bidayuh Longhouse, Iban Longhouse, Penan Hut, Orang Ulu Longhouse, Melanau Tall House, Malay House and Chinese Farm House. Amazing show from the ‘Land of the Hornbill’s’. Orang Utan; these tailless apes spend most of their time foraging for food, a fragile creature.

Day 3: Fairy & Wind Cave & Ma Zu Temple
This caves is a cool stream. Knocked out. Bats'poo! Slippery Senoirs and Senoritas. OMG! Torch Light; check! It was fun!! Entrance- the gates of the temple are amazing!
